TECHNOLOGY DROP-IN HELP - First Wednesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Help with computers, tablets, smartphones, Facebook, Instagram, Skype, texting, etc., with Brigid - technology librarian from the Paul Pratt Library. First come, first serve. NO CHARGE!
REFLEXOLOGY - Second Tuesday of each month and Last Monday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. by appointment ONLY. Reflexology is the application of pressure at various levels to the foot to produce a positive effect on a corresponding body part to release blockages causing pain or illness. MASSAGE THERAPY - Second Wednesday of each month from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. by appointment ONLY. Paula Conner is a licensed massage therapist and has worked on over one thousand clients. KNITTING AND CROCHET GROUP – Thursdays from 10:00 p.m. - 12:00 p.m. All levels. Whether you have always wanted to learn and have never held a needle or hook or are an experienced crafter, you are welcome! Do you have a project sitting in the closet that you’re stuck on? Need help fixing a mistake? Want to show off your mad crafting skills? Join us and come help shape our new group. Lisa Rosen has never met a yarn she didn’t love. She is a lifelong crafter and a knitting and crochet instructor and designer. She worked for many years in a local yarn shop. She currently has a custom knit and design business. Walk in a group. FREE *Please note the instructor will not be present on the third Thursday of every month, although the class will still meet.*

DRAWING/WATERCOLOR (Ongoing class) - Tuesdays September 12, 2023 to October 17, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Led by instructor Patricia LaLiberte this class is for people with drawing experience and who completed the watercolor techniques class last year at the Willcutt Commons. During each class, you may draw or paint the still life that is set up for a class or work on a watercolor painting from a photo, picture, memory, or imagination. Ample support will be provided by the instructor who will help you progress in your artmaking to achieve your goals. Bring your art materials. DRAWING WITH COLOR (New Class) - Tuesdays September 12, 2023 to October 17, 2023 from10:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m. Led by instructor Patricia LaLiberte this is an art class for those who are looking to develop strong and accurate drawing skills, shape, form (3D), light, shade, shadow textures, detail, and composition. We will begin with graphite pencils and work with colored pencils. Artists of all skill levels are welcome, and we will work towards reaching your individual goals. END OF SUMMER COOKOUT - Thursday September 14, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. Choice of lobster or chicken salad rolls served with coleslaw and chips, prepared by "celebrity chef" Dan Volungis. Strawberry shortcake will be provided by The Friends of Cohasset Elder Affairs. Live Music by “Play-it-again” band that has rocked the South Shore for the past decade in restaurants, fairgrounds and stadiums. Cohasset residents can RSVP with menu choice after August 21st and non-residents after Sep. 5th. $10.00 per person.
SHREDDING DAY - Monday September 18, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. - Willcutt Commons – 91 Sohier Street. District Attorney Michael Morrissey is sponsoring a Mobile shredding truck to the Cohasset community. District Attorney Morrissey is inviting all to bring their personal and sensitive documents as well as computer hard drives to dispose of safely and securely free of charge. Protect yourself from becoming a victim of identity theft and fraud and dispose of your important documents. When should I shred it?
- Immediately: sales receipts, ATM receipts, paid credit card statements, paid utility bills, credit offers.
- After 7 years: tax-related receipts, tax-related canceled checks, W-2s, records for tax deductions taken.
RED CROSS PRESENTATION - Wednesday September 20, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Flooding, forest fires, hurricanes, and earthquakes wreak havoc on communities around the world. The Red Cross works with communities to help prepare them to face disasters, provide urgently needed support when disaster strikes, and support families who have been separated and are seeking to reunite. Join us to learn more about this organization that helps people near or far in times of emergency and better prepare your household for increasingly severe weather events. HERMAN MELVILLE, "Sailing Towards My Father" - Wednesday September 27, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a one-man play, presented by actor Stephen Collins, about Herman Melville (1819-1891), the American author best known for his whaling epic Moby-Dick. This play chronicles Melville’s life from youth to old age, concentrating on his evolution as a writer and his complex relations with God, his parents and siblings, his wife and children, and Nathaniel Hawthorne.
