Outreach Program

The Cohasset Outreach program (free service) is a personal link to citizens who are 60 years or older and the many benefits that are available in the community. Diane Picot, whom is our Outreach Coordinator, is available for confidential office and/or home visits and provide advocacy and referral services to elders and their caregivers. She is a caring link to the community for those who need relief from isolation, or need assistance with forms and insurances. Some of the benefit programs we assist with are:
  • Fuel assistance
  • SNAP (formerly food stamps)
  • Prescription advantage
  • Handicap placards
  • Health safety net
  • MASS Health
  • Cohasset Housing Applications

The outreach worker is very knowledgeable about community resources and makes referrals to South Shore Elder Services for home care services and Meals on Wheels. We encourage and welcome any and all volunteers who are interested in visiting and helping elders on a regular basis.
