Project Management & Engineering

Mission


The Engineering and Project Management Department is focused on improving the community by engineering solutions to town wide issues. Along with engineering improvements, this department studies, implements, and manages capital improvement projects that prove to be beneficial to the Town as a whole. The Project Management and Engineering Department works together with a number of other town departments in order to successfully complete the various improvement projects.

Responsibilities


The Project Management and Engineering Department is responsible, but not limited to, the following:
  • Applies for government and state grants to fund various engineering and capital improvements
  • Conducts engineering surveys and studies
  • Creates and provides specialized maps of Cohasset
  • Implements and manages capital improvement projects
  • Manages all infrastructure and civil engineering related projects within Cohasset
  • Provides engineering assistance to the Department of Public Works
