Emergency Preparedness

Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with other town departments and regional and state emergency preparedness and management agencies in updating the Cohasset Board of Health's current emergency preparedness plans.
  • Coordinate with Cohasset Emergency Management (CEM) department in having the Cohasset Board of Health's emergency preparedness plans be in-line with the Town's Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan.
  • Collaborate with Region 4B to provide free emergency preparedness training to members of the Region 4B MRC.
  • Find new, innovative uses for the CDC PHEP funds, as MDPH has notified local boards that many new restrictions will be given the use of PHEP funds beginning the next fiscal year.
  • Increase involvement of Cohasset's CERT team in Public Health Emergency Preparedness plans and protocols
  • Increase Board of Health's involvement in LEPC activities.
