Cohasset Community Contact List
Contact Elder Affairs if you are interested in having your name added to our emergency list available to older adults age 60 and above who are vulnerable during weather or other community wide emergencies. Participants in the program will receive telephone call check ins for safety concerns and well- being. This is a voluntary program and will only be shared with the Cohasset Fire, Police and Health departments for assistance when necessary.
The outreach worker is very knowledgeable about community resources and makes referrals to South Shore Elder Services for home care services and Meals on Wheels. We encourage and welcome any and all volunteers who are interested in visiting and helping elders on a regular basis.
Cohasset Cares Program
Any Cohasset resident aged 60 or over is eligible for a free assessment from Cohasset Cares. All services provided through Cohasset Cares are completely voluntary. Participants are under no obligation to accept the suggested improvements. Cohasset Cares stresses that they are not there to inspect your home or judge you. They are simply there to help, offer safety improvements and share information about available resources. To learn more, contact Siobhan Lynch at Cohasset Elder Affairs at (781) 383-9112.
